Efficient use of resources in view

Capacity planning ensures the efficient use of company resources. Production planners must not only consider the availability of machines, but also include batch sizes and setup times. Especially in a production network, where production costs and delivery times to the end customer can vary greatly, this subplan is an often underestimated discipline.

However, the consequences of suboptimal planning - such as a low service level or inefficient capacity utilization- are much more visible. This results from a lack of or only sporadic reconciliation between sales and capacity planning. The now normal volatility of the sales and procurement market exacerbates this problem. Modern planning solutions with simulation capabilities can run through various scenarios in the shortest possible time, taking into account delivery time agreements as well as costs. Thus, one can also optimally prepare for unforeseen events.

In order to be able to serve all market requirements with my capacities, I need an intuitive interface that shows me bottlenecks and free capacities and supports the planner in making the right decision.
