Supply chain planning and purchasing simulation at Aurubis
Aurubis AG is a leading global supplier of non-ferrous metals and one of the largest copper recyclers in the world. At the beginning of 2020, Aurubis decided to migrate the planning processes in the supply chain to a standardized platform as part of the Advanced Planning System (APS) program. The first project, "Purchasing and Production Planning in the Copper Blister & Scrap Division," with the goal of reducing error-prone manual input processes and creating scenario analyses in procurement planning, has already been successfully implemented with celver and Board. In the long term, Aurubis wants to use the program to plan more details in planning at a higher frequency with the result of better predictability.
With another project around purchasing simulation, the company is pursuing the goal of process acceleration in order to be able to react more quickly on the market. The new SCM platform will not only help to match offers in terms of quantity, but also in terms of quality with the long-term production program.
In this webinar on demand, Klaus Henning Wenck, APS Program Manager at Aurubis, presents how the various aspects of supply chain planning and purchasing simulation - thanks to the support of celver as an implementation partner - are mapped flexibly and fully integrated in Board.
In this exclusive on-demand webinar, learn how Aurubis is using celver support based on the Board:
- Brings transparency to SCM processes and thus improves workflow
- Accelerated the decision-making processes in order to positively influence the Group result
- would like to realize the entire tactical supply chain planning across groups in Board
- will integrate optimization into the tactical planning processes
