Effective supply chain management

Define the right interfaces, procedures and a suitable tool
Effective supply chain management is crucial to the success of a company. To achieve this, all processes must mesh perfectly and be able to adapt quickly, even in the event of unexpected events. This only works with agile planning, automated processes and up-to-date figures. Regardless of whether you call it Sales & Operations Planning(S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning(IBP) - it's always about striking the right balance between sales and operations.
Modern software solutions such as Kinaxis, Board, SAP IBP, Anaplan or K4 Analytics promise to help with many innovative functions. But which tool is the best fit? Do I need a specialized solution, a flexible platform - or is a planning extension enough? And what costs and implementation times should I expect? The answer depends on your specific company situation!
In our xP&A workshop, we work with you to develop your individual requirements for the planning process and thus form the basis for selecting the right tool:
Your initial situation:
- Lack of stringency & transparency in your planning processes.
- Isolated S&OP and financial planning: silo thinking, discrepancies in planning.
- Limited responsiveness due to rigid planning cycles and tools.
- Manual coordination processes reduce your planning efficiency and effectiveness.
What you get:
- We provide you with a holistic understanding of planning approaches and how they differ from xP&A.
- We support you in bringing transparency to your planning processes and identify optimization potential.
- We work with you to determine what requirements you have for your S&OP and financial planning process and support you in integrating the planning areas.
Content of the workshop:
- Preparation: (telephone) interviews with the most important stakeholders on the status quo, requirements recording & analysis.
- xP&A Capability Map: Clarification of relevant planning processes.
- Joint group of participants (Controlling, Sales, IT, SCM): Development of a joint target image based on a process map, definition of interfaces and handover times.
- Tool selection: Analysis of the criteria for choosing between a platform approach and a specialized solution.
